Hello!

I wear many hats with different titles in this freelancing life of mine:
Executive Presence Coach, Character Actor, Keynote Speaker, and Collage Artist.

My background is in Human Development and Family Studies. I worked as a case manager in the field of substance abuse and addictions until I decided to change course and pursue a career in comedy instead.

Not as big a leap as you might think!

The fields are actually quite related. I moved to Chicago to study improv at The Second City and after graduating from their conservatory, I landed a great talent agent and began working as an actor in commercials, movies, and on stage at many of Chicago’s prestigious theaters. Along the way, I freelanced for Second City Works where my psychology-based background blended with my performance skills. My work with them has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, NBC’s “The Today Show,” ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer,” and in Fast Company Magazine where I received the title as one 2016’s Most Creative People in Business.

Developing my own personal brand was born from integrating these different talents into one multi-hyphenated career. Much like the character work I do and the collage art I make, I have a passion for bringing seemingly unrelated things together to form one-of-a-kind individuals. It’s the work I was meant to do and whether it’s as a COACH, an ACTOR, a SPEAKER, or an ARTIST — I look forward to doing it with you.

P.S.

I started my own company called The Larapyn Group and I deliver all my coaching, speaking, and facilitation services through that route now. We've built a creative team to deliver more services and inspire more people. Follow us on Instagram @larapyngroup and check out our website to learn about all of our great programs!
